The standard for Muay Thai, kickboxing and MMA. The instep section protects the top of the foot when striking and receiving low kicks. Recommended for 95% of practitioners.

Some competition models have no integrated instep. For light kickboxing where instep kicks are less frequent. Check your federation’s rules.

How to choose the right size?
Measure from below the knee to the ankle. Too large: slides during sparring. Too small: insufficient coverage. Check the size guide on each product page.
Are the WAKO models valid for Muay Thai?
WAKO T1 models are approved for WAKO-sanctioned kickboxing and Muay Thai competition. For non-WAKO Muay Thai, the SIB or F6 KARA are better suited and less restricted in colour.
How to care for shin guards?
Wipe after every session. Air before storing. Disinfect once a week. Never store wet in a closed bag.
