Skipping ropes

What age to start?

5–6 years
Play and discovery. A few minutes on the bag or with the rope under supervision. The Robo is perfect at this age for the fun factor.
7–9 years
Learning the basic punches (jab, cross) with a parent or a coach. The F6 KARA Kids is the right choice for this age.
10–12 years
Structured sessions are possible, a junior club can be considered. The 6oz gloves in the set are enough, and the Kids wraps become recommended.

Recommended starter kit

F6 KARA Kids or Robo: which one to choose?
The F6 KARA Kids is the classic choice for a child who takes boxing seriously from age 6–7. The Robo is made to make punching fun and appealing – ideal for 5- to 8-year-olds or less motivated children who need a visual stimulus.
Should a child wear hand wraps under the gloves?
For short sessions (5–15 min), the gloves supplied in the sets are enough. From 3 sessions a week, the Kids 2.5 m wraps are recommended to protect small wrists.
Can the bag stay hanging permanently?
Yes. Make sure the hook is in a solid beam and that the area around it is clear. The bottom of the bag should be at the child's waist height.
Can the gloves in the set be replaced?
Yes. The F6 KARA Kids 6oz gloves can be ordered separately to replace worn gloves or to give as a second pair.
