Boxing Gloves RDX F17

The RDX Aura Plus F-17 boxing gloves are built around a multi-layer high-density foam padding system engineered to manage repeated impact at the heavy bag, focus mitts, and during sparring. Drawing on 27 years of manufacturing experience and direct feedback from athletes and coaches, RDX designed the F-17 series around the Fighter's Feel concept — prioritising knuckle protection, wrist stability, and consistent punch transfer over a session's duration.

The dual Hook-and-Loop strap wraps the wrist across a wide contact area, delivering a lace-up-like hold without requiring assistance to put on. This closure system reduces wrist fatigue and lowers the risk of sprains by keeping the wrist in a stable, anatomically neutral position during strikes. The outer shell is made from reinforced synthetic leather with a wrinkled texture, which increases abrasion resistance compared to smooth-finish alternatives.

A sweat-wicking internal lining limits heat build-up and simplifies post-session maintenance. The F-17 series covers boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA training — from technical bag work at 10 oz to supervised sparring at 14 or 16 oz.

Frequently asked questions

Are the RDX Aura Plus F-17 suitable for heavy bag training ?
Yes. The multi-layer high-density foam is built for repeated impact at the heavy bag and focus mitts. Weights between 10 oz and 14 oz cover most technical and general bag training sessions.

Can the F-17 be used for sparring ?
Yes, preferably at 14 oz or 16 oz depending on the athlete bodyweight and club guidelines. The dual Hook-and-Loop strap provides wrist stability comparable to lace-up closure, maintaining consistent support throughout exchanges.

What is the difference between the RDX F-17 and T-17 ?
The F-17 (Aura Plus) is the accessible version of the Aura line, featuring reinforced synthetic leather and a dual Hook-and-Loop closure. The T-17 shares the same padding architecture but uses different materials or finishing details depending on the series. Both models are oriented toward general striking sports training.

How should I care for the RDX Aura Plus F-17 ?
Wipe the exterior with a slightly damp cloth after each session. Air dry completely in a cool, shaded area away from direct heat sources. Use a mild disinfectant spray or leather conditioner when needed. Do not machine wash, wring, or tumble dry.

Should hand wraps be worn with these gloves ?
Yes. Hand wraps or inner gloves are recommended. They reduce moisture inside the glove, protect the knuckles, and provide additional wrist support before putting on the gloves. They also extend the lifespan of the internal lining.
