Setup and adjustment
- Height
- The bottom of the bag should sit between your mouth and the top of your forehead while standing. Too high = arms tire fast; too low = wrong striking angle.
- Platform
- Minimum 60 cm diameter. Wall-mounted on a solid beam or ceiling. RDX sells the bag; the platform is purchased separately (CHF 100-300).
- Steel vs plastic swivel
- Plastic swivels squeak within 2-3 months and block rotation. A steel ball-bearing swivel stays fluid for years. The F6 KARA includes one.
- Inflation
- Firm but slightly giving to the touch. Too hard = rebound too fast to read; too soft = flat, frustrating rebound.
Beginner tip: start with slow, regular strikes, find the rhythm before attempting the fast rebound. The frustration disappears after 2-3 sessions.
