Does a body protector replace a sparring vest?
Yes, for most uses. A full body protector (Aura Plus, T15 Noir) covers the same area as a classic sparring vest with superior absorption. The coach chest protector (F6 KARA, Mark Pro) is more open on the flanks — optimised for coach mobility, not for repeated lateral strikes.
Can a body protector be used in MMA?
Yes. The T15 Noir and Aura Plus T-17 are suited for MMA sparring. Make sure the model does not obstruct grips and ground transitions. For official MMA competition, check the federation’s approved equipment list.
How do I maintain a body protector?
Wipe the exterior after each session with a slightly damp cloth. Air out before storing. Do not submerge or machine wash. For the Mark Pro leather, apply light leather conditioner every 3 months. Club lifespan: 3-6 years synthetic, 6-12 years Mark Pro.
What’s the difference between the F6 KARA and L1 Mark Pro coach models?
