What bag height for boxing?

The right size depends as much on your build as on your home. Simple rule: the bag should run from chin level to your lower waist, which is where the jab, cross and body shots are worked.

2ft (~60 cm)

Kids 4-12 years. Hangs low and can be set up in a bedroom.

4ft (~120 cm)

Teens and adults in homes with low ceilings. Short bag focused on high shots (face + chest).

What is the difference between a heavy bag and a maize bag?

The heavy bag (straight, 4ft or 5ft) is for power work: jab, cross, hooks, body shots. The maize bag is small, hung at face height and swings quickly — it is a precision and slipping tool: you don't hit it hard, you work on timing, slips and coordination. The two complement each other and are not interchangeable.

What bag height for a 1.75 m adult?

A 5ft (150 cm) bag hung ~30 cm above the floor gives you a target from 30 cm to 180 cm — the entire boxing strike zone is covered. If your ceiling is low (< 2.40 m), a 4ft (120 cm) is still usable but limits high shots. Below that, opt for a free-standing bag.

Does the 3-in-1 angle bag replace a straight bag?

No, it is a complement. The angle bag has an angled shape at the top that lets you land uppercuts and hooks as if on a head / jaw. But it limits pure distance work (repeated jab / cross). Ideally, an advanced home gym has both. For a first bag, the straight 5ft remains the benchmark.
